Found this sweet dirty pup in between Bastrop and Austin at a gas station headed straight for HWY 290. Was filthy, covered in fleas, dirt burrs... we cleaned him up REALLY well, but now what??? Looking for his owners. Doesn't seem like he was mistreated. Red collar, no tags. Male, intact. Help!!! I can't keep him and I really don't want to give him to the shelter. Dog: Female Red Heeler mix Found: Sep 4, 2011 Rescuer: Brenda L. Karisch Contact Info: Send Email FOUND: RED HEELER MIX. I do not have a picture of her to post, but we took her to Crossroads Vet in Bastrop and they took a picture of her and posted in the clinic. My son found her Sunday night, the first night of the fire, on Ponderosa (closer to Smithville). She is a red-heeler mix, yes, female. Her feet were burned but she is on meds and her feet are so much better. She seems to be very healthy. Short, very-slick hair. Comments (12)
Dog: Border Collie Found: Sep 9, 2011 Rescuer: Bastrop Animal Shelter Contact Info: Send Email • 512-581-4080 FOUND: Beautiful Brown Border Collie FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2011 - 9:00 A.M. Found on Highway 95 north - just a few miles north of Elgin - (across the highway from a house with a locked gate - 1042 Highway 95 north.) He was sitting in the ditch between the highway and the railroad tracks. Young, very calm, very sweet, friendly. I took him to the Elgin Police Station and they were going to take him to the Bastrop shelter just in case he is a lost dog from the fires. Comments (5) |
